But unlike Alexa Care Hub, the newly launched service is not free. It offers the same set of features as Care Hub, including the ability to look after family members remotely. Alexa Together can also send notifications when a family member accesses their Alexa device. Further, it shows a feed detailing the family member’s interactions with the voice assistant on any given day. Users can also reach their loved ones in an emergency with the addition of a hands-free “urgent response emergency helpline.”

The company said that it will increase the number of accounts that can access Alexa Together’s services in 2022. The addition of these features means that the service is no longer meant only to care for the elderly, but anyone who may require additional caregiving. The company’s fall event on September 28 had a couple of big introductions, including the Echo Show 15. This new wall-mountable screen brings the company’s new Visual ID feature to the mix. This feature recognizes the user via the camera and reflects the relevant content on the screen.
