New report claims Samsung will announce the Galaxy S21 FE at CES 2022
SamMobile claims that the series will arrive a bit sooner than that. The source claims that the three phones will launch at CES 2022. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is scheduled to start on January 5, and end on January 8, in Las Vegas, of course. Now, it has been quite some time since Samsung announced a smartphone at CES 2022, well, at least one of note. The company may hold a separate event just before CES, though, as it used to do before MWC started. We’ll have to wait and see. If the source is to be believed, it will be during CES exactly, which means it will launch on January, 5, 6, 7, or 8. The source doesn’t seem to be sure this will happen, though. It claims it did get this information from a source, but it cannot confirm it’s happening. Well, truth be said, nothing is for sure until Samsung confirms it.
It was originally supposed to launch in August
The Galaxy S21 FE was expected to launch during Samsung’s Unpacked event back in August, alongside the company’s foldables. That didn’t happen, though, mainly due to the chip shortage. Well, at least that’s what the reports have been claiming. The device was supposed to have a dedicated event in October, but Samsung canceled that as well. The chip shortage seems to have had an effect on those plans as well. That being said, January seems like the very last chance for Samsung to announce this device. The Galaxy S21 FE availability won’t be nearly as widespread as the Galaxy S20 FE’s, that’s for sure. Samsung is planning to announce the Galaxy S22 series either at the very end of January, or in February, so it will definitely take the spotlight from the Galaxy S21 FE. Maybe Samsung should scrap the Galaxy S21 FE project altogether. Well, perhaps the company ends up offering a great price for the device, in which case its launch would make more sense.
