Ever the perfectionist though, Fitbit sought to make its newest wearables more comfortable for people to wear. See, Fitbit wants you to wear its smartwatches and trackers all the time. And there’s reasoning behind that. The more you wear them the better they can perform for you. Helping you stay on track with your fitness goals. But you’re unlikely to wear them often if they aren’t comfortable to wear. To that end, Fitbit has made the Sense 2, Versa 4, and Inspire 3 thinner and lighter so you can wear them all day and night with no discomfort. There are other small design adjustments as well. Both the watches for example come with the physical button on the side. Whereas the previous versions, the Sense and Versa 3, had the capacitive button.
The Fitbit Sense 2 is built to track all-day stress
Stress is a major factor in a depreciating lifestyle. And it can certainly cause your health to worsen in some cases. Fitbit’s idea of combating that lies allowing you to track your stress all day, every day. Or at least every day that you have the watch on your wrist. That’s where the Sense 2’s new cEDA sensor comes in. The continuous electrodermal activity sensor is designed to track your stress all day. So you can manage it better and try to keep those levels down for a more mindful workout, sleep, or just an overall healthier day. The ‘Body Response’ sensor as Fitbit calls it, can send you alerts when you need to lower your stress. Then give you suggestions on how to do that. Such as mood logging, guided breathing, and mindfulness sessions. Those activities can be even better with the Calm app, which you get a membership as part of a Fitbit Premium subscription.
Get active with over 40 workout modes
Physical hardware isn’t the only area where Fitbit is making improvements. It’s also upping the amount of workout modes that its latest wearables will track. Both watches will come with the ability to track exercises like HIIT, dance, and weightlifting, bringing the total amount of workout modes to 40. The Inspire 3 meanwhile will have a total of 20 workout modes. The Versa 4 and Sense 2 also come with up to six days of battery life while the Versa 3 comes with up to 10. Fitbit is launching the Sense 2 and Versa 4 on September 23 for $299.95 and $229.95 respectively. The Inspire 3 launches on September 15 for $99.95.
