Google introduced its 3D animals back in 2020, and they’ve gained some popularity. If you go to the Google search app and you search for an animal, it’ll show you a 3D-rendered version of the animal you’re looking up. Tapping it will open up a full-screen 3D view of the animal. The animals aren’t static models either, they move with some nice and fluid animations. If that’s not enough, the models also emit sound. If you want to have even more fun with the models, you can tap a button to place them into the AR space. You’ll use your camera and project the model into the real world. You can even capture pictures and videos of the animal in the environment.
Google brought Mei as a 3D animal
The 3D animals are fun and all but about mythical creatures? The latest movie from Disney Pixar is Turning Red, and it features a cast of notable characters. However, one character really sticks out, and that’s the giant red panda. It’s easily the most memorable character in the movie. People who search up the movie will be in for a pleasant surprise. According to 9To5Google, Google has implemented a dancing Mei as a 3D animal. This shows a loop of Mei doing a silly dance for all to see. Like with other animals, you can view Mei in the AR space and take pictures of her.
In Other Disney News: Disney+ will be getting a new ad-supported tier
It’s fun having subscription services, but it’s not always fun paying for them. Right now, there are several services that offer cheaper/free content with ads displaying and there are those that don’t. It looks like we’ll be able to add Disney+ to the former, as the company revealed a cheaper tier coming to the platform later this year. We’re not sure when this tier will be available or how much it’ll cost when it launches. Disney+ itself costs $7.99/month, so we can expect the ad-supported tier to cost somewhere between $4.99-$6.99/month.
