The company is continuing its efforts to put all the final features and changes to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. In line with this, according to the latest report by 9to5Google, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are getting a new batch of wallpapers, which the company is calling ‘Motif’. Basically, the ‘Motif’ wallpapers include a combination of multiple floral and geometric illustrations. These are meant to use the strengths of Android 12‘s Dynamic Color theme language that will be available on the Pixel 6 series. There are two smaller sets in this ‘Motif’ wallpaper collection. The first is called “Floating” and the second is called the “Pieces of G”. Talking about the “Floating” set of wallpapers, it will include wallpapers of plants and other natural shapes having softer colors. On the other hand, the “Pieces of G” wallpaper collection will have polygons derived from the super iconic “Super G” logo of Google.
Helsinki-based Antti Kalevi and Amsterdam-based Letman are the artists behind the ‘Motif’ wallpapers
These wallpapers (attached below) look stunning, and would beautifully complement not only the AMOLED display of the Pixel 6 series phones, but it will also go in symmetry with the Material You design of Android 12. For developing new wallpapers under the ‘Motif” collection, Google brought on-board two digital artists. Notably, Helsinki-based Antti Kalevi and Amsterdam-based Letman are the brains behind the Pixel 6 ‘Motif’ wallpapers. Helsinki-based Antti Kalevi is the digital artist behind the “Floating” set of wallpapers under the ‘Motif” collection. While the “Pieces of G” set of wallpapers are designed by Amsterdam-based Letman. As noted by the source, there is a description for each wallpaper set. For “Floating” style wallpapers, the description reads, “Hints of form and color create playful places.” Whereas, for the “Pieces of G” set of wallpapers, it reads, “Cutouts create a collage of color.” Overall, these wallpapers make use of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro color options. This includes black, white, red, green, and yellow, as their dominant color schemes. This will help the Android 12’s Material You Dynamic Color theme to support these wallpapers more accurately. Just for your information, both the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro look promising and are scheduled to debut on October 19.
