Keep in mind that the customization part really only applies to the default watch faces included with the Pixel Watch. If you used an app like Facer, you’ll need to customize it within the Facer app first. So keep that in mind while going through this tutorial.
How to customize watch faces on Google Pixel Watch
Like most watches, there are two ways that you can customize watch faces on the Pixel Watch. You can do it on the watch itself, or with the companion app on your connected phone. We’ll show you both ways.
On the Pixel Watch
Start by pressing and holding on the watch face. Now you can swipe left or right on the display until you find the watch face that you want to customize. To customize that watch face, tap on the pencil icon under the watch face. Now, you’ll have a few different screens for customizing the watch face. These might be different depending on the watch face you are customizing.
You can swipe through to edit the colors, complications and any other options the watch face might have. For complications, you can tap on each one to change them. When you’re done, just tap on the crown to go back home and your changes will be saved. That’s how you can customize a watch face on the Pixel Watch. It’s actually a lot easier with the app.
On your phone with the Pixel Watch app
Open the Pixel Watch app. From there, tap on Watch Faces.
Now, you’ll see a number of watch faces that are already created that you can customize. You can choose one of those and tap on Edit. Or tap on Add New.
Once you tap on Add New, you’ll see a number of watch faces that you can choose. Tap on one to edit it.
Now if you chose to edit a watch face already on your watch, these steps will be the same.
On this next page, you’ll be able to adjust the color, layout and any complications. Some watch faces might have other options like bolding the time, or adding seconds to the watch face. Fine tune it to your liking, then click the “Add” button at the top.
Finally, if you want to use this on your watch now, just tap on the “Use on Watch” icon from the watch faces page. And that’s it.
How to change watch faces on Google Pixel Watch
The cool thing about smartwatches is that you are able to change its watch face whenever you want. You could do it several times a day, or even just once a week. The Pixel Watch also makes it easy. And much like customizing the watch face on the Pixel Watch, you can also do this on the watch itself or with the Pixel Watch app.
On the Pixel Watch
On the Pixel Watch, you can do this by long pressing on the watch face. Then swipe over to the watch face you want to use.
Now tap on the watch face. That’s it, you’ve changed your watch face. It’s just that easy.
On your phone with the Pixel Watch app
Open the Pixel Watch app on your phone. Tap on the Watch Faces. Swipe left or right to find the watch face that you’d like to use on the Pixel Watch. Once you get to the watch face you want to use, you’ll find an option for “Use on watch” below it. Tap on that.
After a few seconds, that will now be the watch face on your Pixel Watch. That’s all there is to it.
