Do note that you’ll need to have at least one group chat available in Telegram in which you’re the admin, in order to make that happen. That’s basically it. Just make sure that your app is updated to the latest version, and let’s get started. Below, we’ll explain to you how to do this one step at a time.
How to get 1,000 people on a Telegram call
So, first, open up Telegram. If it’s on your homescreen, launch it from there, if it’s in your app drawer, open it from there. Do note that you need to be on the main page of the Telegram app, where all your chats are. There, locate a group for which you’d like to start this massive call, and tap it. Once you’re in the group chat, you’ll need to initiate a “Voice Chat”. You can do that by tapping the three dots in the top-right corner, and choosing “Voice Chat” from the menu. Once again, do note that you need to be the admin of that group. Once the “Voice Chat” is active, turn on your video feed. Once it’s on, you can continue adding people to the call, up to 999 of them, so there will be 1,000 of you in there, counting yourself.
Now, there’s a catch here. Do note that not all 1,000 people can have their video feed on, that would be utter madness. 30 of them can have their feed on, while the remaining 970 can follow along. So, this enables you to hold massive video conferences, for example. You can enable your video feed, and perhaps your assistants can pitch in, while all others can follow along. It is still much better than what the competitors offer, though we really doubt many of you will need such a feature. It sure is a welcomed addition, though.
