Do note that the Moto X40 will become official on December 15 in China. That device will likely be called the Motorola Edge 40 Pro outside of China. Yes, it will be coming to a number of additional markets, almost certainly.
The Motorola Moto X40 Geekbench listing confirms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC & more
In any case, Geekbench reported that the device will include 12GB of RAM. Well, at least one of its models will. Android 13 is also mentioned in the listing, which is to be expected, as it’s the latest version Google offers. The Moto X40 appeared under the XT2301-5 model number on Geekbench. It managed to score 1,471 points in the single-core, and 4,683 points in the multi-core test on the platform. That’s basically all the details that Geekbench shared. The Moto X40 will become the company’s new flagship smartphone. Its design has been revealed by TENAA, and via several leaks. It will not really surprise anyone when the design is concerned. You can expect a glass + metal combo, and exactly what you’d expect out of flagship phones these days. A curved display will be included, with thin bezels, and a display camera hole. A regular-looking rear camera island will also be a part of the package.
A high refresh rate display is expected, and the same goes for 125W charging
The phone is tipped to include a 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display with either a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate. Depending on which rumor you end up believing. A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned in earlier leaks, as was 125W charging. We’re not sure when will this smartphone become available globally, it won’t launch outside of China until Q1 2023, that’s for sure.
