The Pixel Watch Fit may be on the way as well, with a high price tag
This information comes from ShrimpApplePro and @chunvn8888, both of whom are tipsters. They claim they’ve heard of a model referred to as the ‘Pixel Watch Fit’. They say it’s referred as such by Google employees. Now, the Google ‘Pixel Watch’ name has been trademarked recently, by the company. The same cannot be said for the ‘Pixel Watch Fit’, though. It’s possible that it will get trademarked, though. Now, ShrimpApplePro claims that the Pixel Watch Fit features thick bezels. On the flip side, a render artist, Ian Zelbo, believes it will have an aluminum body. The regular Pixel Watch may feature a stainless steel body.
If this information is accurate, it will be considerably more expensive than the competition
Based on the provided information, the Pixel Watch Fit may actually cost around $400. Needless to say, that’s an immensely high price tag for a smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch 4 starts at $249.99, and the same goes for the Apple Watch Series 7. As most of you know, Google did acquire Fitbit. So, it would make sense that the company releases a fitness smartwatch. We’re just not convinced this watch is coming, at least not alongside the regular Pixel Watch. The regular Pixel Watch is tipped to launch at Google I/O on May 11. It’s tipped to arrive alongside the Pixel 6a. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, so Google may wait with its launch. It doesn’t really make sense for the Pixel Watch Fit to cost this much. Not only is that price way above the competition, but it’s generally extremely high. Fitbit’s most expensive smartwatch, at the moment, is priced at $299, for reference’s sake.
