Galaxy A23 5G specs
Samsung has already revealed the key specs of the Galaxy A23 5G. The company quietly listed that info on its website earlier this month. The handset features a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device supports micro SD cards of up to 1TB capacity if 128GB is not enough for you. The Galaxy A23 5G boasts a quad-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP primary shooter with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It is flanked by a 5MP ultrawide lens, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro camera. The tear-drop notch on the front houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. You get dozens of camera features such as Night Mode, Professional, Scene Recognition, and Slow Motion. This phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos sound, Samsung Pay support, Android 12-based software and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung has priced the 4GB+64GB model of the Galaxy A23 5G at NT$8,990 (roughly $298) in Taiwan. The 6GB+128GB model costs NT$9,990 (~$331). The handset comes in black, blue, and peach color options in the country. In addition to the Galaxy A23 5G, Samsung will also release the Galaxy A13 5G in Taiwan next month. The latter was launched in November last year and is already available in several other markets, including the US. Taiwanese people will be able to purchase it from September 1 at NT$6,990 (~$232) for the 4GB+64GB model and NT$7,990 (~$265) for the 128GB storage option.
Samsung is offering a free charger to early buyers
It’s increasingly becoming rare for Samsung to include a charging adapter with its smartphones. But the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A13 5G buyers in Taiwan will get a 15W power brick if they pick up the phone early. The company will offer the accessory at no additional cost if you grab the former before October 15 and the latter before September 30. The charger costs NT$490 (~$16) when purchased separately. Samsung will also offer a free YouTube Premium subscription of two months to early buyers.
