The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro TWS earbuds get a new software update
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro arrived alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldables and the Galaxy Watch 5 series in August this year. These are arguably the best TWS earbuds from Samsung yet. You get pretty effective ANC with excellent sound quality. Features like 360 audio with head tracking add to your music experience. Calls are also crystal clear, and you get a solid battery life as well. We are talking about up to eight hours of playtime on a single charge, with the case supplying 18 hours of additional playtime. The design is unmistakable Samsung earbuds, and we found them quite comfortable during our review. Since their market release, Samsung has pushed two software updates to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, including this one. The first update arrived in October with the same changelog. That means the new TWS earbuds haven’t gained any new features since they arrived on the market. It’s still the same set of features you got out of the box. Nonetheless, it’s always a good idea to install new updates on your devices. They may iron out some performance niggles to give you a more stable experience. We agree that companies mess things up sometimes, but they mostly get it right. The latest update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro began rolling out to users in the US recently. Samsung should expand the rollout to more markets and cover everyone over the next couple of weeks or so. If you’re using the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, you should get a notification from the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone or tablet when the update is available. You can also manually check for updates from the app. Go to Earbud settings and tap on Earbuds software update, followed by Download and install. If an update is available, you’ll be prompted to download it. If there’s no pending update, check again a few days later or wait for the said notification.
