For the Peak 9 Pro, two big revamps are the battery life, and the new easier to use interface. Let’s start with the interface. Suunto has revised a few things here. The 9 Peak Pro uses bigger digits and bigger icons for the homescreen and other menus. It also uses a mix of white and color backgrounds. And paired together with the increased sizes of icons Suunto says this makes it easier to read the watch during sports activities. Basically, everything should feel more glanceable. Meaning you can take quick peeks at the display then go back to focusing on whatever activity or exercise you’re engaging in. The other big feature of course, is battery life.
The Suunto 9 Peak Pro lasts for up to 21 days
Suunto claims the Peak 9 Pro lasts for up to 21 days in daily use. We can imagine this means normal use. So, think smartphone notifications, the occasional run, some light exercise tracking and the daily tracking of heart rate, steps, and sleep. There’s also a Performance Mode where the watch can last up to 40 hours, an Endurance Mode where it can last up to 70 hours, and a Tour Mode where it can last up to 300 hours. Almost double what the Suunto 9 from last year offered in the same mode. Compared to something like the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro which is supposed to last up to 80 (which is arguably very good for a Wear OS watch), the Peak 9 Pro is definitely more capable of sticking it out for the long haul. It can even charge up insanely fast. Suunto claims 100% of the battery can be charged up in just an hour. That’s definitely quick. Outside of battery life, the Peak 9 Pro has a lot more to offer.

Packed with features and ready for adventure
Battery life is definitely one of the most important factors in a watch of this type. But you also want it to, you know, do stuff. And the Peak 9 Pro definitely does a lot of stuff. For starters, it can connect up to 32 individual satellites for a much greater accuracy when exercising in difficult GPS conditions like “below tall buildings or in deep valleys,” Suunto says. It also does this while having the capability to connect up to four different satellite systems – GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BEIDOU. Basically, you’ll have less trouble with the watch locating your position. The Suunto 9 Peak Pro also features an “ultra-thin” body of 10.8mm, making it great for daily wear and nights out as well as training, yet it also features a durable build quality. Suunto says the watch was tested with harsh military standards, and was tested against temperature, shocks, drops, pressure, sand, ice, and salt. Suunto 9 Peak Pro
