A lot of us listen to the auto-generated radio stations on YouTube Music. These are the playlists that are generated based on songs, artists, moods, etc. These are designed to provide you a torrent of music that conforms to the certain vibe that you like.
The YouTube Music Dynamic Queue feature will change the radio station
The new Dynamic Queue feature is one that YouTube is testing for iOS users. There’s no word yet on when it will make its way over to Android devices. The thinking behind Dynamic Queue is that you’ll want your playlist to change along with your behavior. When you skip a track while listening to a radio station, it reacts like any other playlist; you just go to the next track. However, with Dynamic Queue turned on, if you skip a track, the future tracks will change a bit in order to fit the mood of the song you skip to. This is a way for the software to constantly keep the playlist evolving based on your listening habits. While this sounds like a useful tool, we’re not 100% sure that this feature will make its way to primetime. According to Android Police, there’s been a fair amount of negative feedback regarding the feature. If the testing extends to Android, we’ll need to see if there will be more negative feedback from those users. However, there is good news. If this does come to the actual app, you won’t need to worry about it. You can switch the feature off in the settings. We don’t know if this feature will actually come to the app, as it’s just in the testing phase. As time goes on, we should get more information about it.
